2. Scope and Definitions

These Terms govern use of the Aleo marketplace where Providers list services and Customers can discover Providers and initiate bookings/requests.

  • Customer: any natural person using the Platform to find and communicate with Providers.
  • Provider: any person/business listing services and uploading content (Listings).
  • Platform: the Aleo website and its features.
  • Listing: Provider content such as descriptions, prices, and images.

3. Aleo’s Role (Intermediary Platform)

Aleo is not the provider of the services listed on the Platform. Any contract for a service is concluded solely between Customer and Provider.

Aleo provides technical features such as: listings and profiles, booking/appointment management (e.g., via LatePoint), chat, reviews, reporting tools, and map/location features (e.g., Google Maps).

Aleo does not process customer payments for Provider services. Customers pay directly to Providers (e.g., cash on site). Whether a Provider accepts card payments on site is the Provider’s responsibility.

4. Accounts and Access

Some features require an account (email + password). Users must provide accurate information and keep credentials secure. Users are responsible for activity under their account if they are at fault for misuse.

Minimum age: The Platform is generally intended for users 18+. Minors may use it only with parental/guardian consent.

Aleo may suspend or terminate accounts in case of misuse, legal violations, or material breaches of these Terms.

5. Listings, Reviews, and Communication

Providers are solely responsible for their Listings (accuracy, completeness, pricing, availability, qualifications, and image/content rights).

Customers may message Providers and leave reviews. Reviews must be truthful, factual, and non-abusive. Fake/manipulated reviews are prohibited.

Users may report content. Aleo may review reports and temporarily hide or remove content at its discretion.

6. Prohibited Content and Conduct

In particular, it is prohibited to:

  • upload illegal content, commit fraud, or mislead others,
  • harass, threaten, post hate speech or discriminatory content,
  • infringe copyrights, trademarks, or personal rights,
  • upload content without necessary rights/licenses,
  • attack the Platform (hacking, malware), bypass security measures,
  • scrape/automate data extraction without permission,
  • spam or misuse the chat.

Aleo may remove content, suspend accounts, and inform authorities where legally permitted.

7. Bookings, Cancellations, Disputes

Bookings are technically supported by the Platform but are substantively handled between Customer and Provider.

Cancellations, rescheduling, no-show rules, refunds, and service details are set by the Provider and must be agreed with the Customer. Aleo is not responsible for these matters.

Customers and Providers should first try to resolve disputes directly. Aleo may offer limited technical help (e.g., message forwarding) but has no duty to mediate.

8. Provider Subscriptions, Pricing, Billing (Providers)

Providers may purchase monthly subscriptions to access certain Platform features.

Prices are displayed net and gross (plus VAT where applicable). The price shown at checkout applies.

Payment is available via credit card or Klarna.

Term, renewal, cancellation: Subscriptions run for the selected billing period (monthly) and renew automatically for another month unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Refunds: Fees paid are generally non-refundable on a pro-rata basis, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

Price changes: Aleo may adjust subscription prices with prior notice. Providers may cancel effective the date the change takes effect in case of material changes.

Withdrawal right: Where Providers act as businesses, there is typically no statutory withdrawal right. Mandatory rights remain unaffected.

9. Availability and Support

Aleo aims for high availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted uptime. Maintenance and technical issues may temporarily restrict access.

Support is provided by email: info@aleoservices.com.

10. Intellectual Property and Licenses

All rights in the Platform (software, design, logos, operator content) belong to Aleo or licensors. Users receive a limited, revocable license to use the Platform as intended.

Provider content: Providers retain rights to their uploaded content but grant Aleo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, and technically reproduce the content as necessary to operate and present Listings while the content remains on the Platform.

Users must not copy, distribute, or exploit other users’ content outside the Platform without permission, unless legally allowed.

11. Liability

Aleo is fully liable for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body, or health.

For slight negligence of essential contractual duties, liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damages. Otherwise, liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Aleo is not liable for Provider services, Listing accuracy, actions of Customers/Providers, disputes between them, or payments made directly to Providers.

Third-party services (e.g., Google Maps, hosting, LatePoint) are governed by their own terms; Aleo is not liable for third-party content/services.

12. Indemnification

Customers and Providers shall indemnify Aleo against third-party claims arising from unlawful use or content they provide (e.g., IP infringement, false information), including reasonable defense costs, where permitted by law.

13. Data Protection and Cookies

Personal data processing is described in the Privacy Policy. A cookie/consent banner is used.

14. Changes to These Terms

Aleo may update these Terms for legal, technical, or business reasons and will inform users appropriately. Mandatory rights remain unaffected.

15. Final Provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Mandatory consumer protection rules of the user’s habitual residence remain unaffected.

For disputes with merchants/businesses, the place of jurisdiction is Selm, Germany, where permissible. For consumers, statutory venues apply.

If any provision is invalid, the remainder stays effective.
